A Poem by Olivia (@olevey)

Are we rising tonight?

or will I lay alone and eat

For I could press a kiss to your forehead,

but you would still leave me to think.

Could I make the right decision and let

my body be

It would be impossible to find peace

within oneself when all planets revolve around

I see from my own perspective,

but I could never imagine the pain

seen through your eyes.*

Is it there?

Or did the earth take it back

Leave to pay attention to pixels and wood.

Fixate yourself on someone who does not

wonder your sensations and worries.

Peer through goggles like distorted stained glass.

And never concern yourself with another.

Just touch shards and letters that

tell you to starve.

Let nothing run through your veins.

You see nothing but yourself for others,

Setting affliction into my eyes.
